The "delivered" status confirms that the recipient's email server accepted the email. This is a delivery acknowledgment sent from the recipient's server to the Coaches Console system, which is then reflected in your coach end interface.
However, "delivered" does not guarantee that the email reached the recipient's inbox or that they have seen it. The email's final placement—whether in the inbox, spam folder, or a filtered category (e.g., "Social", "Promotions" in Gmail)—depends on the recipient's email provider's filtering rules and personal settings, which are private and beyond the sender's (your) control.
If an email is marked as delivered but not opened, it could mean:
- The recipient has not checked their email yet.
- The email may be in Inbox, but the recipient did not notice it there yet.
- The email is in a spam folder, promotions tab, or another folder the recipient hasn't noticed.
While delivery confirms successful receipt by the recipient's server, it doesn’t provide visibility into where the email is sorted or whether it has been read. If you're unsure whether the recipient has seen your email, consider following up politely.
