Can a prospect change the email address where they receive my newsletter?

No, only contacts with an Active Client, Hot Lead of Buyer status can (with username/password) can login and update their profile information. While they are still prospects, they could only contact and notify you about changing their email address. That may be a good FAQ to add to your webpage that they need to email you with updates.
