20MB is the maximum size for files uploaded in Content menu > Documents. This is mainly because the documents here are or can be usually be attached to emails sent to clients, and the 20MB is generally the file size limit accepted by email service providers Meaning that if you attach files bigger than 20MB, it is not guaranteed that they will be delivered to your clients via email. The client will get the email text, but perhaps not the attached file, if too big for the email provider to accept.
If you want to make available to the client larger files of various types, you could attach them to entries in the Client Log feature (Contacts menu > Contact Name > 'Client Log' section). Here you can upload files of up to 80MB in size that the client will be able to access on their Client Log page on the private portal and download them from there.
