How does my client add a recurring series of appointments to his calendar?

Attached to every appointment confirmation sent from your system is an .ics file -- a calendar file saved in a universal calendar format used by several calendar programs like Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, and Apple Calendar.

Your client will simply download the .ics file, then import it into his/her calendar program. That import will add all of the appointments in that recurring series to his/her calendar.
