How do I find and setup my API data in a PayPal account?

Follow

The API integration with PayPal for recurring billing requires a PayPal business account. So, if you haven't already, you need to upgrade your PayPal account to the business type. This is free and only takes a few extra steps.

1. In your normal account, click on the cogwheel icon in the top right corner and then click on the link "Upgrade to a business account" on the left side.

2. After upgrading your PayPal account to a business account, click on the cogwheel icon in the top right corner and go to Account Settings > section "Account access" > setting "API access" and click on the link "Update" on the right side.

4. In the section "Request API credentials - PayPal", select the option "Request API signature", then click on the button "Agree and Submit". This will generate your PayPal API credentials.

6. Paste the PayPal API credentials in their corresponding fields from your Console Billing Settings > Recurring Billing tab > section "PayPal API Credentials", then save the changes. (You don't need to validate the CIM module; that is for Authorize.net, not PayPal.)
